I've seen most of the Linux releases over at Multimedia. They are located
on Broadway one block West of Cambie. The Computer Paper probably is a
good place to find vendors in the Vancouver area.

Not much, I think it is more a taste thing. Try to go with an ELF version
though. Slackware 3.0 and recently released RedHat 3.0.3 (Picasso) are both
ELF.
