Basic Qualification Course

(Those of you interested in using Linux for TCP/IP networking via
wireless links using amateur radio will be interested in getting your
basic qualification through this course.)

We will be presenting the fall edition of the UBC ARS Basic
Qualifications Course on Saturday, October 19.

Registration: 8:30 am - 9:00 am.
Course: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm.

A review session will commence at 11:00 am on Sunday, October 20. The
examination will follow at 1:00 pm

The course is free for club members but costs $25 for non-members.

Antennas and Transmission Lines - Dave Michelson, VE7TSX

Dave Koyanagi, VE7CNV and David Tse, VE7MDT are handling advance
registration.

As usual, attendees should obtain a copy of the UBC ARS Basic
Qualification Manual and read through it at least a week before the
course. Copies can be purchased from the UBC Bookstore, Com-West
Radio Systems, Burnaby Radio Communications, RP Electronics, or
Dubberley's on Davie.
