If anyone is interested and is running from anywhere more than a hop or
two from andrew.triumf.ca or vancouver-webpages.com you can pick up
http://vancouver-webpages.com/net/trmap.pl and
run http://vancouver-webpages.com/net/isp+www.dat (and mail me the
output if you like) as in
"trmap.pl isp+www.dat >yournodename.ndt"
(it takes a while)
then see http://vancouver-webpages.com/net/maps/
for a link to the NLANR Ndtools. The neat one is "anemone".
I'll try to remember to upload the nodebase file that corresponds to the
picture. Also anemone for Linux, resolv, colorize etc.
As seen from Vancouver Webpages, vancouver-webpages is near the center
of the world. From UBC, it's plain we're on the edge waiting to fall
off!
anemone takes NDT on stdin. It's easier sometimes to add one node at a
time rather than try to untangle the ratsnest.
It's quite good for testing out your route to a small number of nodes, and
seeing which routers are being used today. You can play games with the
colour to indicate network problems. Doing the big GIF was more fun
than seriously useful. There's a huge one of the Mbone out there
somewhere on the net.

the mail header. It gets filed by procmail ....)
