Offhand, I'd say somewhat more so than NT.
.. well, if you go with RAID, UPS, hardware watchdog, etc. you might get
99.999% availability .. maybe even without RAID. I've had a Linux 1.x
kernel running for 2 years, maximum consecutive uptime about 8 months. If
zero downtime is important I'd suggest a twin hot-backup machine mirroring
the live one with maybe a smart router and multiple independant network
feeds. Nowadays the solution to MTTR is not an expensive 24x365 service
contract, it's duplicate hardware that can be replaced from any computer
store.
