Some real mail clients, for example Elm and Mutt, do not have a fixed-
length subject space, but allow it to go all the way to the right hand
edge of the window. Starting one of these mailers in a 90-column window
instead of 80 (or 142 instead of 132, etc) regains the "lost" space. The
additional window width should not be a problem for people with real
screens. :-)
