Hi I was wondering if anyone had installed Xwindows with the S3 ViRGE
card. I was installing RedHat 5.0, and the Xconfigurator seems to
detect my card, but upon running startx I get the following error message:

(--) S3V: chipset driver: S3_VIRGE
(--) S3V: videoram: 4096K
(--) S3V: Ramdactype: s3_trio64

-X11TransSocketUnixConnect: can't connect: errno = 111
xinit: connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): server error

so far, I set the resolution to default 8 bits 640x480.
I am using a DAYTEK DT-1501BAI/MPR monitor with:
Horizontal
Frequency: 31kHz-64kHz
Blanking Time: min 3.4usec
resolution: max 1280 dots

Vertical
Frequency: 50-90Hz
Blanking Time: min 0.45msec
resolution: max 1024 lines

Any hints or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
