Hm. It's amazing how many people these days still don't seem to
know about the m4 configuration files for sendmail, which have been
around for several years now. So long as you don't have to do your
own truly weird hacks (which most sites--including ISPs--don't have
to do any more) you can just chuck a few simple options in an m4
config file, type `make', and have your .cf file generated for you.
Actually, the .cf file syntax is not really obtuse, anyway, it's
just scary-looking and can be difficult to write complex transformation
rules in. It may even be debatable whether or not it's easier to
add similar rules in C to another mailer. :-)
