Hi. I bought a Panasonic CW-7501 cd-r and found out that CDRECORD 1.6
as distributed with Slackware 3.5 Linux 2.0.34 only supports the
Panasonic/Matushita CW-7502 cd-r

cdrecord -scanbus

correctly locates and identifies my Panasonic/Matsushita CW-7501 cd-r.
However whenever I try to burn a CD blank I get

cdrecord: Unsupported device

I have sources for CDRECORD 1.6 and have successfully compiled my own
version. Does anyone have any info on the differences between a CW-7501
cd-r and a CW-7502 cd-r? Can I kludge the
sources into thinking I have a Panasonic CW-7502 cd-r and expect things
to work?
