For the past month, I have been unable to connect to the internet from
Linux. It seemed to start when my ISP suddenly changed their login
sequence. (I'm using EzPPP to connect) It goes through the usual
Username:, Password: prompts, but now there's a "icgi-vg3>" prompt.
"ppp /compressed". When I do so, the usual PPP 'garbage' spews out, then
I hit the "Start PPP" button. A couple of seconds afterwards I get a
"pppd died" message and the connection closes.
What I want to know is, whose fault is it? EzPPP or my ISP? If it's my
ISP, is there a known work-around?
Any help would be appreciated,
chris
Sidenote: I can connect to the same ISP with the same modem in Win95
without a problem.
