That's definitely an option. Chris Halsall of the Victoria Linux
Users Group reports that:

So, there seems to be lots of possibilities. In any case, this is
something to discuss on Monday night and certainly at the next
Steering Committee meeting.
Speaking of which, anyone with an interest in the direction of the
Vancouver Linux Users Group is more than welcome to join the Steering
Comittee. At present, the Steering Commitee consists of
Christian Daudt <csd@netbox.com>
Simon deWeerdt <deweerdt@physics.ubc.ca>
Dave Michelson <davem@ee.ubc.ca>
Vlad Petersen <vladimip@uniserve.com>
Jared Proudfoot <jproudfo@footprints.net>
Art Stone <stone@math.ubc.ca>
If you would like to get involved, please send me a message or contact
me on Monday night.
