The Web page is a valuable LUG community resource. At this point we have
a lot of freedom in terms of what we want to do with the page. At the
last meeting of the Steering committee it was suggested that we proceed
quickly enough to get things done, but slowly enough that interested
people can contribute.
We need people to contribute:
Web Authors) Providing local pages and content - Howto's, Theme Pages,
Any original ideas? ...
Webmaster(s) Administrative support - requires time commitment, at least
1 hour a week, but could easily be mmuch more. Maintain pages, update
links, post new pages, write scripts? ...
Web Design) The web may evolve and change with input and depending on the
Administrator's inclinations but we should probably start with some sort
of design
Web Ideas) *** What do you want our pages to include? How can this serve
you? Should we give everyone a page? What should we try to accomplish
with the web? ***
WebHost) There are several generous offers to host the page. How should
we choose a way to go?
Domain name) Several proposals have been put forward.
I will collect mail posted to the newsgroup or sent/forwarded to me and
report to the Steering Committee and anybody who asks to be kept informed.
Decisions will be made by the Steering Committee and/or Membership.
