I am not sure if the idea is original or not but here it goes
anyway. I would like to see a collection of dialup scripts that
people use to connect to their ISPs which can be helpful for new
users because dialup questions pop up once in a while in local
newsgroups and mailing lists. Since every ISP has its own ways
there is no general setup that can work for everyone. Please submit
your scripts to <vladimip@uniserve.com> as gzipped tarballs, and
I will upload them whenever the VLUG web site is ready. It would
be nice if the tarballs included a list of relevant files with
permissions, brief (one page or so) instructions as to what goes
where and what ISP and dialup number it is. Don't forget to remove
your real passwords and please don't send them to the mailing list
itself. I've set up "Reply-To: " appropriately.
Thanks,
Vlad
