I just bought a Diamond Monster 3D for $150 at the computer shop
at the corner of Seymour and Georgia. These are discontinued now
(replaced by the $300 Voodoo2), I'm told, so you can get what's in
the shops and in the distribution chain, and that's about it.
(That's why they're so cheap.)

I'm not sure where that $40 rebate came from; I've seen the Monster2
3D (Voodoo2 based) boards with it on sale for $277 at A&B Sound,
but never a Monster3D.

I'm pretty happy with my Voodoo board. I just use it under Windows
95 to play Quake and a couple of other games, but on my AMD233 CPU
I get frame rates fast enough for decent play (I've not measured
how fast), and it was cheap enough to make it worthwhile.

The Voodoo RUSH I hear is slow and has incompatibilities with the
Voodoo 1 chipset, and should be avoided.
