Who on earth added this feature to ident? It makes no sense at all;
you might as well just turn ident off.
Keep in mind that the token that ident returns is for *you*, not
the remote administrator. The remote administrator couldn't care
less whether it's a real ID or not; he will give that to you in
the event something has to be traced, and you have to be able to
figure out from it which user initiated that network connection.
