I have procmail running and newmail watching the default inbox only.
What's supposed to happen if I got the rules right is that for mail to me
I get notified, mail to a list I don't and probably don't read for a few
days. So a Cc: to me might get a response a day or two quicker, weeks
for some lists.....
I've almost always used telnet or ssh or something to connect to where the
mail is, so it's quick & easy to delete duplicates or spam just from the
subject without downloading everything. I think IMAP can do that, too.
