I am thinking of replacing my old Colorado Jumbo 250 tape drive with
something with higher capacity....I have 3 machines networked, with
several gigs of data between them, so you can understand my predicament.
:-)))
I'm looking at an IOMega Ditto Max 7 gig drive (3.5G uncompressed) -
I don't mind that they're a bit slow (floppy drive interface, I think)
but they're certainly a lot cheaper than a SCSI drive (+ adapter card)
or CD-RW.
Has anyone used such a drive with Linux ? Or is there an ATAPI
solution which is just as cost-effective and reliable ? (I'm running
2.0.35 kernels here on all 3 machines)
TIA.....
