Vancouver Webpages (http://vancouver-webpages.com) operates a Linux-based
server which runs a Webserver, the searchBC regional search engine, a
Web-by-mail gateway and other tools. It has also participated in the DES
encryption challenge and the search for Mersenne prime numbers. The
computer is equipped with a UPS and watchdog timer and has run with no
on-site attention for a year at a time, giving uninterrupted service for
periods in excess of one hundred days.
