Curt, in his message, indicated knowledge and acceptance of the fact
that promoting NetBSD would constitute an extension of the proposed
activity.

You then chose to explain to him, by implication, that the installfest was
a Linux activity, and that promoting NetBSD would therefore constitute
an (unwelcome) extension, finishing up with "Go figure," as if further
thought on his part would be required for comprehension. This despite
his prior acknowledgement.

I'm willing to believe that you did not mean it to read as if you were
explaining something to a little child, but your "comment" hardly seems to
be gaining any consensus on the list. You may wish to consider privately
whether this has anything to do with the way you expressed it.
