Yeah, actually, the man page was the second thing that I read. The problem
was that when it was the first line in the file nothing worked. After I
moved it to the end (after all nameserver names and IPs) everything magically
began working.
BTW, has anyone seen ftpd fail on startup with the following (from memory):
12:44:16 [ftpd] Socket operation on non-socket
Everytime I connect as a client or reboot, all I get is that message and
'ps' never shows any 'ftpd' running. Logically, socket is a file. Where does
ftpd put that special socket file so that I can examine it? I guess it
must be something similar to X11 sockets that you can see in /tmp, right?
BTW, it happens on Solaris.
