Unfortunately this seems to be the case. Over two years ans some
10 WD drives about 2/3 had to go back. I have a WD caviar and
it hasn't given me any problems at all, go figure. On the blight side
WD does seem to have good support. Every one of those bad drives where
replaced.

That'll happen. I'll always have al least two drives in my computer
from now on. Backups are good.
