I have /, /usr, and /var on separate filesystems. On internal servers
I used to put /home on a separate filesystem too but eventually always
had to play games because I guessed the wrong size for it, so it's now
part of /var. On public shell boxes I would keep /home separate for
obvious reasons. :-)
