Hi All,
After having seen KDE in action I'm just not as happy with fvwm as I
used to be. I've now set out to install KDE, but have run into a snag.
I'm running rh5.0 & so apparently must update to the egcs-c++ compiler,
but to do that need to also update binutils. Installing
binutils-2.9.1.0.4-2.i386.rpm breaks procps because of it's dependency
on the earlier binutils. When I rebuild procps (after installing
libtermcap-2.0.8-0.i386.rpm, libtermcap-devel-2.0.8-9.i386,
ncurses-1.9.9e-9.i386.rpm, and ncurses-devel-1.9.9e-9.i386.rpm) I get
the following error messages:
/usr/include/local_lim.h:21: linux/limits.h: No such file or directory
In file included from ps.c:25:
proc/psdata.h:31: linux/utsname.h: No such file or directory
In file included from ps.c:40:
/usr/include/ioctls.h:24: linux/sockios.h: No such file or directory
In file included from ps.c:42:
/usr/lnclude/sys/param.h:24: linux/limits.h: No such file or directory
/usr/iinclude/sys/param.h:25: linux/param.h: no such file or directory
make: *** [ps.o] Error 1
Bad exit status
I have looked through the development related RPMs and the only ones I
can find that aren't installed are the ones mentioned above that were
updated.
Could someone please point me in the right direction for the missing
files.
