That too. I use Gnus, which can be configured to do this quite nicely,
though I usually do not, and take a couple seconds to make sure the
headers are the way I want them. I typically only set the list followup
config options for lists which I gate into local newsgroups.

Entirely reasonable, and pretty much what the FAQ recommends.
BTW, once I get ADSL in on Thursday this week I'll be switching to full
SMTP transport, so turnaround time for the list should get much shorter.
Currently it goes through UUCP in both directions, which adds extra
latency waiting in queues.
