Have you ever applied to B.C Tel for a phone; if not, just do it, and
wait a couple of weeks, and your mail box (that is the physical one, not
the email one) will be filled with offers of preapproved credit cards,
"free" financial advice, etc, etc. Basically the same thing as what
happens on this list. Being on a public mail list like this one, you're
just opening yourself up to this sort of spam business; it isn't right,
but easily solved by installing mail filters, etc.
