I read an article on the web that Microsoft is pointing at Linux (in the
DOJ hearings) and saying that "See, we are not a Monopoly - There
is Linux!"
We all know how friendly Intel and Microsoft are, how likely is it that
Bill called up Andrew and said "Help me out here, throw some
money at them so we can say that they have some big money
backing them too - Also it gets the DOJ off your back because you
have visibly supported someone other than us in the OS ring!"
I also heard that (I haven't seen anything official mind you) that
Compaq has sold off the CPU side of Digital to Intel, which means
Intel also now owns the Alpha... (Which isn't part of the conspiracy
theory, just an interesting aside...)
