I have the spam too...But you know what....

This is the internet. It's an unexplored territory, and with
any final frontier, there will be, like the cowboys and indians,
law and order, crime and disorder. Which side do we sit on ?

Was this guys post really SPAM ??

Getting rid of spam is as easy as hitting my 'del' key.

Combat spam, with reverse lookup software, such as that
in the latest version of sendmail.

I for one don't let it bother me that much.

I don't understand why it bothers others so much. You don't
hear people squacking and complaining about anything so much,
as spam on the internet.

Ahh...maybe it's just me. I know one thing foresure.....atleast I
know my email software is working when I DO get spam, and
use it to learn and understand better tactics to combat it, by
developing, and working with others who develope the filters for it.

But I certainly don't let it upset me.

I'm just sad, that the internet has become so commercialized.
Most people ( 90% ) of those on the net, don't see the
net for what it really is, rather they see it as a medium for
email, and the world wide web. Others, know and understand ftp,
but thats about where it stops. Where are all the experimenters...like us
?

I think, that before the web becomes really successful, that
people will have to be educated to what it's really all about.

Then ofcourse, the next question remains ; Do we, as more
advanced users of the web, really want that many people knowing
our secrets, or how it really works ?? I, for one, consider it
fun to setup secret networks amongst my friends and associates, and
have fun experimenting with new techniques and protocols.

I hope that all this "to-do" over the net and email, doesn't
prompt polititions to do more damage then they already have.

I remember the Internet, back when "MIND-LINK" and portal internet ( Hi
Curt ! ) where just getting started. It was a big thing back then, and
very unexplored.

Too bad we couldn't have the technology we have today, with the old
values we began with a few years ago. It's the values the net is loosing,
not technology. ...But you guys already know this

( Sorry for the commentary, but what better place to start a discussion)
