Thanks to all those who attended the InstallFest Review. It was a very
interesting evening!
I'll post a more detailed meeting summary on the weekend. In the meantime,
here's where we stand:
Upcoming Event Details:
- Kim Kulak will coordinate VanLUG participation in PCCFA Swap Meet
on Saturday, October 17 (with support/advice from Ken Moren)
- Installfest II will be held on Sunday, October 25, 1998
- (most likely) in Brock Hall Annex, Rm 351
(very short walk from doorway to room, cf. SUB!)
- limited to the 40 people who have already registered
- 20 people in the morning session, 20 people in the afternoon session
Personnel:
- Bill Gillespie will coordinate InstallFest II
- we still need someone to notify registrants of our plans *and* others who
sent us requests but who we cannot accomodate due to lack of space
- Ben Holt will coordinate Registration and Security
- Brian Bray will give a 30 minute presentation concerning the installation
process at the beginning of each session
- Ken Moren will coordinate preinstallation (hardware checks, etc.)
- Jeff Alami will coordinate volunteer installers and prepare installation
check lists
- volunteer installers will meet sometime during the week of 19-23 October
(evening) for a pre-installation briefing
