COMDEX -- Print materials...

Hey All.

With regard to COMDEX, I think the policy of "just the facts" is a
good one, as there's no way we're going to be able to afford to go
toe-to-toe with the big players. We have to leverage on what we *do*
have -- a rock solid system which can do most things for a hell of a
lot less money.

Towards this, I think we should start looking at what type of print
materials we should have avaiable to hand out to interested attendees.

In addition to brochures from the three (perhaps more) BC LUGs which
contain general information about Linux and the local group (given to
the attendee based on where they're located), we should look at having
additional, use-specific brochures or information sheets focusing on
the how-and-why of a particular Linux based solution.

Some examples which come to mind: Inter/intranet server. What software
is used, what type of hardware is needed, what kind of load can it
sustain, total cost of ownership, etc. Another could focus on a
X Windows or software developer's workstation. Yet another could
look at embedded solutions and "light-clients".

To accomplish this we'll need to collect this information, have someone
skilled in producing good, strong language to convey the message,
someone to do the desktop publishing, and lastly, production of the
paper materials.

Comments? Other areas to focus on?
