Also, we need to stress that Linux has real commercial support. This is
more important than cost, how well it works, etc. Apart from Marketing,
the other reason why commercial OSs that suck(tm) have such a large
market share is that people know they can pick up the phone and arrange
for a support contract if something goes wrong.

This does exist for Linux, however, 99% of the people out there don't know
about it.

I think people can live with the distributed programming model of Linux,
but they still think of "freeware" as "nosupportware".
