Well, don't count on that. I'm getting switched between a lot of
addresses, and I'm starting to find out why. This morning I started
logging bootp stuff with tcpdump and did some reboots on my dual-boot
machine (NetBSD/Windows 98) and discovered that there are two DHCP
servers out there (209.63.0.1 and 209.53.0.17--interestingly enough,
both have the same MAC address from where I'm sitting) that return
different answers to me. Worse yet, there are two A records for me
in the DNS, one correct, and one an old IP address that I've not
been given in some time.
I'm going to call tech. support and see if I can't get this worked
out, but I don't hold out much hope after my last experience with
tech support.
