There are a couple of of things that separates masq'ing in linux
from NAT:
The afore mentioned "help-modules"
the ipfwadm syntax

Is it possible to use an arbitrary pool of ips with ipfwadm? No.
ipchains? No.

Regardless of the meaning that masq'ing had before it's heavy
linux-centric use, I think that for these reasons masq'ing
has taken on these characteristics and become different
from NAT at least used in the linux context. Enough
to garner a unique, although potenially confusing if
it is used in diffeent contexts, name.
