RE: Recommendations for a monitor?

Last week my Viewsonic had to go in for some warranty repair work (yes its
true, Viewsonic isn't perfect) and so was forced to haul out my 6 year old
14" Daytek. While I'm very happy to have my Viewsonic back, I survived the
week with my Daytek quite nicely. It lacks bells and whistles and won't go
above 1024x768, but it's never given me any trouble. If you can't afford
to go high-end Daytek is probably a good bang-for-your-buck choice.

Of course you would have to consider what you're planning to do with the
monitor. If you're going to be doing a lot of graphic work you might want
to spend the extra cash and get something nicer. Remember that your
monitor is probably the one piece of computer equipment that isn't going to
become obsolete overnight so paying extra for a quality monitor is money
well spent.
