Sure, that would stop diald from trying to bring up the link, but then
xntpd would probably get unhappy if I wasn't online for a while and it
didn't happen to syncronize with my regular (but short) dialup periods.
All in all it was much easier for me to set up and understand a
cron-based time sync routine, and it kept the clock entirely accurate
enough for my needs.
