I have had it confirmed from Rogers tech support (FWIW) that the
LanCity modems have to be disvconnected from the power for a
minimum of 10 seconds, because it does latch on to the MAC
address of your NIC.

The only time (save one) that I have had to reboot the modem has
been when I have changed between different boxes. So far, (for the
most part) it's worked like a charm, and I am into my third month so
far...
