ftp from behind gateway problem.

Hi I am using ws-ftp le on a win 98 box that is behind a RH 5.1
gateway. IP forwarding is on and can surf, telnet out, icq etc... When
it comes to ftp though have some trouble in a regular dos ftp session i
can connect but cant do an ls get an error like:

500 Illegal PORT Command
425 Can't build data connection: Connection refused.

anyone know how to resolve this?
