APC seems to make good hardware; we had several of their Back-UPS
supplies powering all of the film recording hardware at IMAX. When
it takes 2 weeks 24 hours a day to shoot a single long scene, you really
don't want a minor power glitch to trash all that work.
The APC stuff also seems relatively EMI-resistant. It uses metal cases,
and it's not bothered by a 30 W 2 m amateur transmitter a few feet
away from it. I have a SL Waber supply in a plastic case that switches
to "power failure" mode when a transmitter is too close.
APC is carried by Active Electronics and MicroConcept, as well as places
like Staples. I haven't seen the Best Power stuff anywhere though.
