(SAMBA) Not able to see some files under smbmount

Background:
Linux gateway/server, smbmount a windows c directory to /isis/c.

Problem
I cd to some directory say windows on my windows box, (/isis/c/WINDOWS/)

and then do an ls but only see certain files. Many are missing such as
Explorer.

I want to use Explorer/Word/Excel using WINE but if I can't see the file
neither can WINE so it complains. Any Ideas?

Hopelessly and desperately lost without you...
