I have the same setup as you. I didn't bother with lilo, because I found
the following trick at
http://www.vma.bme.hu/linuxdoc/HOWTO/mini/Loadlin+Win95-6.html
this removes the need for lilo and I don't think your overwritten mbr is a
problem if you use the method described here. I use their method 6.2 and it
works fine.
