For what it's worth, I've restored files off my backups, to undo user
errors. And, BRU does a complete verify after every backup. That, and
there is some sort of error checking inherent in the way the data is
written onto the tape (I think), that makes BRU better than tar. Or,
that's what EST would have you believe. Anyway, BRU has an easy to
use GUI. :)
