Make linux the primary domain controller, but lie to the dumb administration
and tell them its secondary. These school types believe what they hear
because they know nothing. Just make things work, tell them what they want
to hear, and they won't bitch at you. And they'll never find out, and if
they do, they won't really care, because things "work", and as soon as they
try to "fix" it, it'll break, and they'll either spend thousands and
thousands of dollars for outside consultants, or they'll just leave it
broken, but secretly be glad when you "accidentally" put things back the way
they were before. That is, if you are even still in school :>

Word: never tell "management" the details of what you have to do, or they'll
stick their oar in and try to micromanage. Tell them things in such a way
that, in the course of exercising their authority, they order you to do one
of two things, either of which are suitable. Give em simple no brainers to
decide on that don't really mean anything, but sound flashy and technical.
