Not off topic. There was discussion on the Red Hat lists about the
software used to communicate with the UPS. There's an open-source (I
think, either that or free) version available and APC (I think) was
threatening the author. Check out the Red Hat archives for more info.
I remember seeing Best Power at Comdex a number of years ago. You can
check their web site http://www.bestpower.com/ to see if they can
refer you to a local shop.
