Hello Group,

This is my first post to the list and I'm not sure if I'm way off topic, so
please forgive me if this is inappropriate.

I am new to Linux and am slowly learning the intricacies. I also hope there
is truth in adage "hard to learn, but easy to use" as opposed to our
beloved Microsoft products "easy to lean, but hard to use"--the mind
boggling rigamarole required to print a directory for instance. (I have the
registry hack for determined windows fans)

I don't have a question nor any helpful hints but I have found a delightful
movie that features our favourite OS in a suprising way and also takes a
hefty swipe at our favourite villain, Redmond Bill.

Anyone not using their Linux box to connect their network to a cable modem
can use a telephone connection apparently not as succesfully and quite time
consuming, the T1 entrance worked quickly for me and I was very impressed
with this completely unique approach to site design. I guarantee nobody
will leave there without a new sense of awe for what the future of the web
holds.

An Atari 8bit BBS still networking with Vancouver, other Canadian,
American, Dutch and German Atari 8bit BBSs. Please do not ask why, but feel
free to be amused by our efforts to establish reliability figures for
antique networks, about 14 years and counting. haha.
