Use smbmount to make the NT filesystem visible under Linux. Then use cpio or
whatever just as under Linux. No need to copy the files onto Linux's disks,
although some backup solutions do write the backup images to disk and use a
separate asynchronous process to write the tape(s). That would require extra
spinning storage. But this has nothing to do with NT.
