Hi. I bought a PackardBell 880C, 16.8 gigabyte IBM "deskstar" disk 256 megs
of 100 mHz SDRAM and a Cyrix M-II processor (equivalent to Pentium II)
at 300 mHz. I bought a LinkSys LNE2000 10 megabits/second combo Ethernet
card for it, and for my Pentium I. I also bought another combo LNE2000 for
my Pentium I, this one will be used with UTP to talk to ADSL. I am buying
a second PackardBell 880C to go on the thinwire ethernet backbone, with
another LinkSys LNE2000 card, another 16.8 gig IBM "deskstar" disk, 256 megs
of memory, etc.. I am planning to put all three computers on a thinwire LAN
with addresses 192.168.1.x, and configure the Pentium I as a gateway and
name server. It will be the only machine to talk to ADSL, this is because
Beastly Tell wants $$$ for every IP address connected to ADSL...
