It is not that hard to find 100 mbs ISA NICs. On our network
we use these:
http://www.intel.com/network/products/pro100tx_isa.htm
And also the other type which I could not find a page for, but I think
it's called "Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100TP" or similar, those are not
square in shape but one side is kind of at an angle and then goes
straight. Some of those came with both RJ45 and BNC ports on one card.
I am sure you can order either type from a computer retailer. Although
it is more difficult to get 100mbs bandwidth out of them because ISA is
slower and interrupts the CPU more often than PCI. The quality is good.
For almost three years, out of thirty or so the above two kinds of NICs
I haven't seen a single one malfunction yet. I guess with NICs you get
what you pay for.
Happy computing,
Vlad
