>From (so far) very limited experience, we have an Arlotto 10/100 hub
(cost about $190.00 from ATIC) that has two recent model PC's with 100
mbps PCI cards and one old 486 with a 10 mbps ISA card. All are working
fine through the hub. I don't know what actual speed is used. It seems
blindingly fast when copying files between the 100 mbps computers, but
I'm new at this. The hub claims to be autosensing and has 8 ports, each
with LED's that show if the port is connected to a valid NIC and if it
is running at 100 mbps or not. The 100 mbps port LEDs are lit. It also
has another port that enables stacking two units, to get 16 ports.
