I looked at the printtool, and it doesn't detect my parallel ports at
all. I did an lsmod, and I have these modules loaded:

parport_pc 5012 0
parport_probe 2884 0 (autoclean)
lp 4412 0 (autoclean) (unused)
parport 7092 0 (autoclean) [parport_pc parport_probe
lp]

I'm not sure what they are. lp and parport seem to make sense, but
parport_probe? parport_pc? What are these supposed to be?
