Basically you blew away the partition table of the drive. There are some
utilities that can rebuild the partition table from an existing filesystem
on your drive, but I'm not sure if the drive has to be mounted or not.

I've searched endlessly for the lat 45 minutes but couldn't find the
utility that I used only a few months ago when the same thing happened to
a friend. *ugh*, but there is about 4-5 utilities that try to remedy this
problem. Hopefully this sheads some hope... :)
