Ahoy,

Thanks for the input I've received on this.

I've compiled and run gpart from a linux on the first drive with good
results. Although the presence of an extended, as well as an NTFS
partition cloud the issue somewhat I'm cautiously optimistic that with
some hand editing the 'guessed' partition table will function.

I won't be able to get to this til next week (out of town). At which
point, if I'm successful, you can be sure you will be hearing about it.

Then again, maybe I'll just nuke the whole drive and start from scratch ;)
