Ahoy,
It's late, and I should be getting ready to leave, but I couldn't help
but tinker a little, and presto. Using gpart interactively
(http://home.pages.de/~michab/gpart/) I've been able to remount
/dev/hdb, or at least the partition I was interested in. With the
mish-mash of OS's I have on this drive (ext2,UFS,NTFS) I'm not sure I
really want to tackle getting everything back the way it was, but just
being able to access the stuff I had in hdb6 is very satisfying.
As for gpart, it rules; I recommend it almost as much as backing up all
your MBR's,
happily on my way,
Sean
